A few months ago I purchase a used MT2500 v2.2 from my local Snap-On dealer. Works great except the LCD screen occasionally fades out requiring me to unplug it, and restart it.
Snap-On dealer gave me a couple of MTG2500's to play with, but both of them had hosed backlights.
He then gave me 3 other MT2500's to try, but the original is still the best.
The MTG2500's intrigue me (not for the graphing), but for the 12V power suppply port. One appears to work (LEDS light, it beeps, etc, but the screen is VERY dark and unreadable without backlight). Is there an inverter or something on the main board that hoses the backlight that I can purchase and install/solder-in?
Is there any downside to an MTG2500 vs. an MT2500?
I purchased a Solus a few days ago with version 9.2, so the brick will now become a backup.
Thanks
