I was using the functional test to accuate the AIR pump and when the test timed out and shut off, the scanner went nuts and wouldn't allow you to leave the page. Kept saying press the Y button to exit but there wasn't anything to push on the page. Has this happened to anyone?

Yes it has happened, not just this vehicle but on any GM with AIR or any other functional test, but did you mean on the VERUS? because its has happened on it only, if it is, have you downloaded and installed SR1? as far as the Modis I've never seen this problem on it when I had it. I am waiting for SR2 release, its supposed to fix this concern and many other issues with the Verus. Don't know when its coming out but its coming soon.I was using the functional test to accuate the AIR pump and when the test timed out and shut off, the scanner went nuts and wouldn't allow you to leave the page. The time out of the test is normal. The LOCK UP of the tool is a flaw.I was using the functional test to accuate the AIR pump and when the test timed out and shut off, the scanner went nuts and wouldn't allow you to leave the page. I find that most times when this occurs using the virtual keyboard will get you out of this and back to the menu.I was using the functional test to accuate the AIR pump and when the test timed out and shut off, the scanner went nuts and wouldn't allow you to leave the page. As an example, while running the Evap Service Bay Test on a GM:

Test aborted:

"Press Y to Continue" screen:

I'm told my Solus-Pro has the same software that is in the Modis..... (Ok, I'll believe that...for now...)
That being said.....
The Evap service bay test is designed to relax the evap self test criteria, such as opening the temperature windows for the self test to function.
Look in the "sensors" data list first and verify the "start temperature" of the IAT and CTS. Then you'll have to look for "fuel tank %/PERCENT". THAT wasn't relaxed and the vehicle has to have over 15% or under 85% or neither the ordinary evap self test nor the service bay test will function.
Check the code chart for P0440, it'll tell you what parameters and conditions need to be met before it will self test.
We really shouldn't have to go looking for the pids in other data groups. They should be in the EVAP data group as they are an integral part of any evap testing, including other makes, including imports, not just GM-!!!!
Do any of the software people ever pay attention to these forums???Comment
