    Ohm Meter Zeroing

    Hello Group.

Has anyone had a problem getting the ohm meter to zero. Seems mine has a problem now. I really have not used the ohm meter function much since its so slow and does not graph at all. I usually use the Vantage or VP. I believe this problem has started since the 9.2 update or the service release for it. I tried another lead set and same problem. After zeroing the meter will read between 90 and 120 ohms with the leads connected together.

On another note I noticed that the Vantage Pro now supports the graphing feature in ohms. Why doesn't the Verus. I found this a huge asset when trying to find intermittent shorts or opens in wires such as a speed sensor circuit. I would connect to the suspect sensor circuit at the processor reading the entire circuit resistance in a graph mode and then simply excercise the wires while monitoring the graph. We need this capability on the Verus too IMHO.

YES I'VE SEEN THIS PROBLEM. I AGREE THAT THE OHM TESTING IN VERUS IS TOO SLOW TO RESPOND EVEN FOR FINDING GLITCHES. I ALSO USE MY VANTAGE PRO FOR OHM TESTING AND USE ITS GRAPHING CAPABILITIES. WHY WOULD SNAP ON LEAVE OUT THIS IMPORTANT FEATURE? MAYBE ITS BECAUSE VERUS IS TOO SLOW SO GRAPHING WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE AND WOULD MISS THOSE GLITCHES. MORE WORK STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THE VERUS SO DON'T GET RID OF YOUR DMM OR VANTAGE...

      Ohm Meter will not calibrate

      Just a followup.

I spoke with tech support yesterday and described my problem with the ohm meter not calibrating and was informed it is a hardware issue. They want me to send it in for repairs. I also noted the diode test function and continuity test does not work correctly. (probably related since it uses the same channels)

      I'll keep you posted.
