This was after a frustrating job. I'm trying to establish a biometric base line.

I want to make sure that I'm always operating at peak efficiency.
Check out the fuse box image. You can see which relays are energized, or at least were recently energized. Even which fuses are hot. Next to see if it can find a parasitic battery draw.Attached FilesComment

Awesome Bob im glad you got one. Have you checked out the preloaded tips?Comment

Yep, I checked them out. Now to find some new uses for it. So far, it won't help you find a slow tire leak. Should be good for finding high resistance in your wiring though. But it measures surface temp so you'll have to point directly at the wire. Might not work through a loom.Comment

Im excited to see what use you can make of it, I've been using to monitor the rear tire wear on my motorcycle after "hot" trips.Yep, I checked them out. Now to find some new uses for it. in fer red sefies, Nice new toy, was looking at one but to rich for me right now.
heard about this but never seen it until now. Kid calls crying she broke down. Said escape just dies, will start but not stay running, batt lite and oil light came on. Well when it stalls, towed in, checking it out no codes , all pids look normal, crank and cam sync good. Humm. looking at eng. again another gut feeling I unplugged the maf. started and ran ok but didn't stall, got new one and while making sure everything looked the same noticed something different inside. tapped on sensor, small bug fell out, was resting on the wire, reinstalled, ran fine. Air cleaner was not seated right and that little suc8er got sucked in.
I've tried and tried, but can't seem to fix stupid!Comment

Good that you got the F fixed but it may have been an opportunity to take some scope readings and scanner readings on the "bug-ee" sensor, THEN clean it and retest so you have a known good and known bad in your own data base.in fer red sefies, Nice new toy, was looking at one but to rich for me right now.

Infared temperature guns have ben around for quite a while now. They work. They work just as good as the back of your hand which is more sensitive than the palm to temperatures. Old dogs know this....(

)
Visual infareds can be useful for almost anything that temperature can tell us. Misfiring cylinder....that exhaust runner will be somewhat cooler than the running cylinders. Relays staying energized. AC lines with restrictions. Thermostats & hoses. AC outlet temperatures. Brake rotors & drums. Wheel bearings that are distressed will also run hotter than a good wheel bearing. Electrically, wherever there is CURRENT flow there will be heat. Wherever there is a VOLTGAE DROP there will be more heat.Comment

Check it out !!!
2010 Mercury Milan 3.0 came in over heating from another shop that had just done some work to it. Had codes P1285 and P1299. Cylinder head over temp and protect mode. The scanner after I let it cool a bit was still over 250 and the gage pegged. I aim the infrared at it. The water pump looks hot but the radiator hose cold. I check the coolant level and spun the water pump by hand to check resistance ( broken impeller ? ). Next I drained a little coolant and refilled with the vacu-fill (airlift). Run it bit up to temp and down the road. The temp at cylinder head temp sensor steady at 220 ? Check with the infrared and temps are consistent showing flow through the radiator hose. I kinda missed the target temp on the first shot, the number in the upper left is the target temp. I think I'll run this thing a few more times to make sure it's not the head gasket gassing up the system.Comment

Ok, so what is this ? Oil specs and reset ? Why is it shown on the Modis Edge ? Is it part of 16.4 software for all scanners ? Is it a function or bidirectional test ? Or just information ?Attached FilesComment

Watch the product 360 Hype video for Modis Edge .
Now watch this Hype one for a competitor.Lol . I swear that this one sounds just like the same Advertising company that does the Hype vids for the Snappy platforms. Did he jump ship like the Can you hear me now guy from Verizon that defected to do commercials for Sprint? LMAO

It provides oil specifications via wifi, and if the vehicle has an applicable oil maintenance reset procedure then the user may reset the maintenance/oil light from the tool in that section.Comment

I has a challenge for you...
Name that repair..... Vehicle brand(s) Symptoms and part. I give you a picture of the part and a before and after scope shot.Comment
