SO IN OTHER WORDS YOUR WIFE IS SITTING NEXT TO YOU LOL
watching/reading some higher end new car ads that's already in place with lane changing sensors and active brake control. The future is here.
I've tried and tried, but can't seem to fix stupid!Comment

Lawyers will have a field day when the active brake control slams on the brakes for no reason other than failed sensors or "software glitch" and an 18-wheeler runs over a speed bump in front of it. LMAOComment

I get a John Deere MT that was in storage for few years running today. Clean out the carb and clean up the points and it fired up. The points gap spec is
.022, but then I got this idea to see if I could check dwell with my Vantage Ultra. Well there is reason we called them putt putts as kids, or Johnny Poppers. It's a 2 cylinder 4 cycle, but the firings are 180 degrees apart with 540 degrees of coast in between . I think this was messing up my attempts to measure dwell as seen in the screens below. I tried measuring coil on time in duty cycle too. You can still figure it out from the current ramps and primary ignition screens I think its about 35 to 40 degrees. This tractor uses a 6 volt positive ground electrical system. So I took that into consideration when hooking up the scope leads.Comment

G Bob, I have seen these engines running and figured they were just hitting about every other time around, this makes it make sense how they sound they way they do. BTW, around here in Bama, they are often referred to as hit and miss engines, thus the reason I figured that is what they were doing. But turns out they sound that way due to firing spacing. Neat info....Comment
