If you ever have to change an upstream 02 on a Gen Prius this might help. The 02 has a shield on it that makes it inaccessible with a wrench (even my 02 wrench didn't fit). The tranny doesn't give you enough room to get at it with a normal 1/2 inch drive 02 socket. So I took an old 7/8th inch 3/8th drive deep socket and cut a 1/4 inch groove in it with a carbide bit, then used a 3/8th drive from my tensioner set and a 5/8th wrench to turn it.

Good job , but If I knew for sure I was replacing the O2 sensor I would have just cut the wires off and and not ruined the Snap On Socket, and just tighten the new one in the best I could with a channel lock pliers. Toyota looks like it's taking some engineering tips from the Farfignuegen side .

GB, ya got nny crock-e-dial pliers? hehehehe

If ya break that socket, maybe undress the 02 widda hot wrench.

Or use a no no pro. What does pro mean? Nothing eh....

Don't guess, test eh, get tha vantage PRO.

                Right click, edit, resize, 60%.....done.
                Win-7

Can't someone write a batch file to analyse pic size, then edit while a pic uploads so they don't upload so wide you need a 78-inch TV screen to see the pics-??

This is a 1970's era Thermal Vacuum Switch socket. All you need is a hex drive to stick in the top the same way Greasybob shows.

Sometimes they ARE in tight and you want all 6 flanks to get them out, but if they're THAT tight, they probably won't survive a transplant anyway so just cut the wires and use a deep socket (WITH the hex insert Bob shows).

It's gone. Can't figure the search 1. You would think that schematics would come up first on every list. Can you fix something if you don't know how it works ? Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

I could write a helpful TIP on replacing the High Pressure power steering hose on a 2005 DHS Caddy right now, info not in the PRO. But can't ....Too bad

Not much diagnostic info on here lately but I learned something last night. When programming PATs keys, don't lay the programmed key on the drivers seat. When I tried the new key the screen said " key already programmed" ???? No way, I didn't think the Pats antennae had a range more than a couple inches. I tried again with the old key on my tool box away from the car. All worked this time. Took a few tries to figure it.

will the TIP end up with the repair info in the PRO ? Will anyone look in the Sure Track for a short cut or other extra procedural info?

You know, I think it's worth a lot more to have a name on the TIP than to 25 anonymous "Fixed Its"

This SureTrack tips should show up in the search results in the repair program. And yes, I'm trying to get them to put the user's information back into the tips. Eventually this will all be one system again but I don't know exactly when. We're working on the project now.

We'll still need to integrate the OD5 tips into SureTrack at some point.
