I think, having a plan of attack with the exact sockets and extensions you need, the head mounted flashlight, the 24v battery powered electric tools in 3/8 and 1/4 sizes, would go a long way towards reducing removal time.
My question is , what about the hose connections to the old tubes on outside? You pinch off heater hoses cut the old heater core tubes off inside with bolt cutters in order to pull the old heater core out so you don't need to remove the plenum from firewall to install new heater core properly? Are you cutting off sections of the new heater core tubes and joining to the original cut tubes still attached to the pinched hoses on outside with a couple short sections of heater hose and 4 clamps or what? LOL
